Create Dynamic NPC Dialogue and Quest Hooks
Edit the Dialogue Section
Open your NPC's YAML file and find the Dialogue or Interact block. Each NPC supports multiple dialogue lines that trigger on player interaction. Write contextual greetings and responses that match the character's personality—Red Beard might greet differently than Grace the tavern keeper.
Add Conditional Responses
MythicMobs allows you to layer conditions into dialogue. You can make NPCs respond differently based on player level, inventory contents, or quest progress. Use the YAML condition syntax to gate certain dialogue options or quest rewards behind player achievements.
Chain Quests and Rewards
Link dialogue to quest triggers by adding action lines that grant items, experience, or status effects when players complete dialogue chains. For example, Serega the traveller might offer a quest on first meeting, then acknowledge completion on the next interaction if the player has brought the required item.
