Set up a Husk farm for gold farming

Finding a suitable location

Husks spawn naturally in desert biomes, particularly in sandy areas with low light levels. Choose a desert region away from your base to avoid unwanted mob spawns nearby. Alternatively, you can build a dedicated mob farm in a desert biome.

Building an efficient collection system

Create a dark chamber where Husks can spawn freely. Use water channels or soul sand to funnel mobs toward a central collection point. Since Husks now drop gold ingots instead of iron, you'll want a hopper system leading to chests for easy resource gathering.

Make sure the spawning area is at least 24 blocks away from any player-occupied space to encourage spawning, but keep it within 128 blocks so mobs don't despawn.

Harvesting tips

Use suffocation damage, fall damage, or a simple mob grinder to kill Husks efficiently. Each Husk will drop gold ingots, which you can smelt into gold blocks for compact storage. This setup transforms Husks from a minor nuisance into a reliable gold income source, useful for crafting golden tools, decorative blocks, or trading with Piglins.
