What Happens to Pending Shulker Respawns When You Log Off or Restart

How the mod handles shutdowns

When a shulker dies, the mod records its death location and starts a countdown. If you close the world or stop the server before that countdown finishes, the mod does not forget the shulker. Pending respawns are processed immediately during shutdown, so the shulker is restored rather than lost.

What you will see on return

When you reload the world, the shulker should already be back at its death location, or it will appear as soon as the world finishes loading. This means you can kill a shulker, quit for the day, and come back to a fresh one ready to fight.

Things to watch for

If a shulker was mid-teleport when it died, its recorded location is still the block where it died, so it returns there. Very large numbers of pending respawns all resolve at once on shutdown, which can briefly lag the world as it saves. If you run a server, warn players before stopping it during heavy farming. Keeping the respawn timer moderate avoids a big backlog of pending shulkers.
