How to Speed Up or Slow Down a Replay With Voice Chat Audio

How Time Scaling Affects Audio

ReplayMod lets you change replay playback speed, and Replay Voice Chat keeps the voice audio in sync with that speed change. This means if you speed up a replay, the voice chat audio speeds up too, and if you slow it down, the audio stretches accordingly.

Changing Playback Speed

1. Open your replay in the ReplayMod viewer.

2. Use the replay speed controls (the same ones you use for normal ReplayMod playback) to increase or decrease speed.

3. Play back the replay. Voice chat audio should follow the new speed automatically — you do not need to configure anything extra.

Rendering at a Different Speed

1. Set the replay speed to your desired value before rendering.

2. Configure your render settings as normal.

3. Start the render. The exported audio tracks will match the sped-up or slowed-down timing of the video.

When to Use This

Speeding up is useful for timelapses or fast recaps where you still want to hear reactions. Slowing down helps when reviewing chaotic moments or highlighting a specific line of dialogue. Because audio stays synced, you do not have to manually re-time voice clips in your editor afterward.

Note

Extreme speed changes can make voice audio sound unnatural, but the sync between video and voice is preserved regardless.
