How to Record Voice Chat in a ReplayMod Replay

Before You Start Recording

Replay Voice Chat works automatically once both ReplayMod and a compatible voice chat mod (such as Simple Voice Chat) are installed. You do not need to press a special key to start capturing audio — the mod hooks into the voice chat API and begins recording as soon as your ReplayMod recording starts.

Recording Steps

1. Make sure your voice chat mod is running and you have joined the voice chat channel or group you want captured.

2. Start your ReplayMod recording as you normally would (default keybind opens the ReplayMod recording menu).

3. Play as usual. The mod captures locational audio (voice that fades with distance), group audio, and your own microphone input.

4. Stop the ReplayMod recording when finished. The replay file now contains the voice chat data alongside the gameplay.

What Gets Captured

Player voice icons appear in the replay so you can see who is speaking. Positional audio is preserved, meaning a player talking far away will sound distant. Group or channel audio is captured separately from proximity audio. Your own voice is also recorded, so you can hear yourself during playback and rendering.

Important Notes

Voice chat must be active during the recording — if nobody is talking, there is nothing to capture. If you join a voice channel mid-recording, only the audio from that point onward is stored.
