Repeatable Trial Vaults Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I reset a trial vault after I've already looted it?
Get another trial key and use it directly on the vault block you just opened. The vault will reset and you can claim its loot again.
Does the mod work on a server if other players don't have it installed?
Yes. Install it on the server and it works for all players, even those without the mod on their client.
Why won't my trial key reset the vault?
Make sure you're using a valid trial key on a vault you've already opened, and that the item you're holding is included in the mod's reset item tag. If the vault hasn't been looted yet, there's nothing to reset.
Can I use an ominous trial key to reset a normal trial vault?
The mod lets you reset a vault by using a key on it, but the key type needs to match what the vault accepts. Use the same kind of key the vault originally required.
How do I change which items can reset a trial vault?
Edit the mod's item tag to add or remove items. Any item in that tag can be used on an opened vault to reset it.
Do I need a new key every time I want to reset the vault?
Yes. Each reset consumes a trial key, so you can keep farming the vault as long as you have keys to spend.
Can I farm the same trial vault infinitely?
As long as you keep supplying trial keys, you can reset and loot the same vault repeatedly. Without keys, the vault stays in its opened state.
Will this mod conflict with other vault or loot mods?
It only changes how trial vaults respond to keys, so conflicts are unlikely unless another mod also overrides vault reset behavior. If something breaks, check whether another mod touches trial vaults or trial keys.
Does the mod affect performance or cause lag?
No. It only adds a small check when a key is used on a vault, so there's no noticeable impact on performance.
Do I need to open the vault first before I can reset it?
Yes. The reset only works on a vault you've already claimed loot from. Using a key on an unopened vault just opens it normally.
