Use the Repairables Anvil Mod to fix your anvil when:

• You have a steady supply of iron ingots
• The anvil is in a location you use frequently
• You've invested time organizing your workspace around it
• You want to avoid the effort of finding a new anvil

Replace Conditions

Consider getting a new anvil instead when:

• You're in early survival and iron is scarce
• The anvil is damaged but you rarely use it
• You're moving your base and want to travel light
• You have multiple anvils and can afford to lose one

The Math

Repair costs depend on how many damage levels your anvil has taken. Since iron is renewable and relatively easy to farm, repairing is usually the practical choice in established bases. However, in early-game survival, you might prioritize iron for tools and armor instead.
