Where do I find Open Pit structures?
Open Pit structures spawn naturally in the world as terrain features with exposed Sediment layers. They're most common in certain biomes; explore above ground and look for large pit formations with layered blocks. You can also use a locate command if your world has commands enabled.
What do I need to clean fossils on the Paleontology Table?
Place an Encased Fossil into the Paleontology Table and interact with it to begin the cleaning process. The table will gradually extract bone pieces and other items from the fossil over time.
How do I assemble a Chimera skeleton?
After extracting bone parts from fossils, place them on the ground starting with the body frame piece, then add additional parts in the correct order to complete the skeleton structure. The wiki guide shows the proper assembly sequence for different Chimera types.
What's the Fruit of Life and how do I use it?
The Fruit of Life is a craftable item that awakens a completed Chimera skeleton into a living pet. Dye the Fruit of Life and use it on your assembled skeleton to bring it to life.
How do I tame and keep my Chimera alive?
Once awakened, your Chimera becomes a living companion that follows you. Use Sap of Life on it to heal and maintain its health over time.
What are Shattered Diamonds and how do I restore them?
Shattered Diamonds, Fossilised Apples, and Fossilised Shells are damaged treasure items found during excavation. Use the restoration mechanic to convert them back into usable vanilla items like regular Diamonds or Apples.
How does the Regenerating Chop work?
The Regenerating Chop is an infinite food item that restores hunger when eaten. After consuming it, the item refills automatically after a short cooldown period, so you never run out of food.
What's the Prehistoric Maw and how do I use it?
The Prehistoric Maw is a throwable boomerang axe weapon that returns to you after being thrown. Its damage increases each time it kills a mob, rewarding you for using it consistently in combat.
What do Amber and Sap of Life do?
Amber helps you locate the Tree of Life structure in the world. Sap of Life grants continuous health regeneration when used and is also needed to heal your living Chimera pets.
Can I use this mod with other mods or does it cause lag?
Relic Hunter Horizons is designed to work alongside most other mods without major conflicts. Performance depends on your system and how many structures spawn; if you experience lag, try adjusting the mod's structure generation settings in your config files.
