Replace Blocks Only When They Meet Specific Conditions
Conditional Block Replacement
Reliable Replacer can check block properties and neighboring blocks before making a swap. This lets you replace blocks only when they meet certain conditions.
Steps
1. Create or open a JSON file in config/reliable_replacer.
2. Add a replacement rule and include condition checks such as:
- Block state properties (for example, only replace an open door, or a log facing a certain direction)
- Neighbor detection (only replace a block if it sits next to a specific block type)
3. Save the file and run /reload.
4. The mod will only swap blocks that match all your conditions.
Tips
- Block state checks are useful for replacing only certain variants of a block.
- Neighbor detection helps create natural-looking patterns—for instance, replacing stone only when it touches water.
- You can stack multiple conditions in one rule for very specific replacements.
- This feature is powerful for creating custom structures or preventing replacements in certain contexts.
