Customize Text Readability in Storage Screens

Understanding the Font Changes

Refined Vanilla Interface applies a rounded, open-source font across all storage and crafting screens. This improves legibility compared to vanilla Minecraft's default font, especially when reading item names, quantities, and slot labels in inventories, chests, and workstations.

Viewing Text in Different Screens

Open any storage container—a chest, shulker box, or crafting table—and notice how item names and numbers now display with smoother, rounder letterforms. The font remains consistent across:

  • Player inventory tabs
  • Furnace and blast furnace smelting windows
  • Brewing stand ingredient lists
  • Anvil repair text fields
  • Enchanting table descriptions
  • Grindstone and smithing table labels

Adjusting Your Experience

The rounded font is baked into the resource pack and cannot be adjusted per-screen. If you find the text size difficult to read, increase your GUI scale in Video Settings. The pack's clean borders and balanced layout work best at default or larger GUI scales, so experiment to find your comfortable reading distance.
