Refined Vanilla Interface Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Does this resource pack change how the game plays or just how it looks?
This pack changes only the visual appearance of menus and storage screens—it does not alter any gameplay mechanics, recipes, or how blocks and items function. All world blocks, items, and mobs remain visually unchanged.
Will this work with other resource packs?
This pack may conflict with other resource packs that modify UI textures. Load this pack higher in your resource pack list if you want its menus to take priority, or load it lower if you prefer another pack's interface style.
What mods does this pack support?
The pack includes layouts for popular mods like Create, JEI, EMI, and extra storage containers. If your mod's menus still look unchanged, that mod may not have custom interface support in this pack.
Can I use this on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without needing server-side installation or permission.
Why do some of my workstation screens still look vanilla?
This pack redesigns common workstations like crafting tables, furnaces, anvils, and brewing stands, but some specialty blocks may not have custom layouts. Check the pack's feature list to see which screens have been updated.
Is the font change optional or does it apply everywhere?
The rounded open-source font applies across all screens in the pack for consistent readability. If you prefer the vanilla font, you would need to use a different resource pack.
Does this pack affect performance or cause lag?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures and layouts. You should not experience lag from using this pack.
Will my hotbar and inventory tabs look different?
Yes, the pack replaces hotbar slots, inventory tabs, and buttons with cleaner borders and updated styling while keeping the same layout and functionality.
Can I customize which screens get the new design?
Resource packs do not have built-in customization options. To modify which screens are affected, you would need to edit the pack's texture files directly.
Does this work with Fabric and Forge?
Resource packs work with both Fabric and Forge loaders since they are a vanilla Minecraft feature. Install it the same way regardless of which loader you use.
