What Redirected Does and How to Use It

Overview

Redirected is a behind-the-scenes performance mod. It changes how the game reads its fixed internal lists: instead of building a fresh copy each time one is needed, the game reuses a single shared list. This removes a small amount of throwaway work that happens constantly during normal play.

Where It Helps

Because the same lists are read over and over, the change touches many common actions at once — block ticking, particle spawning, item movement, inventory sorting, and command execution. Each of these no longer generates its own temporary copy, so the background cleanup system has less memory trash to clear out.

What It Does Not Do

Redirected adds no items, blocks, recipes, screens, or settings. It does not change how the game looks or plays, and it stores no world data. That means you can drop it into an existing world or remove it at any time without affecting your save.
