Hiring Soldiers with Emeralds

Once you've joined a town and accumulated emeralds, use the command /rvhire <type> <count> to recruit soldiers. You can optionally add a group name to organize multiple squads. Each soldier type costs emeralds based on their equipment and role—heavily armored units cost more than lightly equipped ones.

Understanding Your Chain of Command

Soldiers you hire follow you directly and form their own chain of command. Leaders wear distinctive gear and give orders to regular troops. If a leader falls in battle, the next soldier automatically takes command. This hierarchy matters during combat—organized squads with strong leaders perform better.

Using Your Army

Your hired soldiers will follow you as you move through the world. Lead them into battle against enemy factions or defend your town during raids. When your soldiers fight alongside town defenders, you earn bonus emeralds for victory. Keep your troops equipped and well-fed by looting fallen enemies or trading with villagers for food supplies.
