Recolourful Containers GUI + HUD Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the colored container GUIs to actually show up?
Make sure the pack is enabled in your resource pack list and sits above the default pack. If it's below another pack that also changes GUI textures, that pack will win and you'll still see vanilla menus.
Why does my crafting table still look vanilla after installing this?
Another resource pack is likely overriding the same GUI textures, or the pack is loaded below it in the order. Drag Recolourful Containers to the top of your active packs and reload with F3+T.
Does this pack change the HUD too, or just container menus?
It recolors both container GUIs and HUD elements like the hotbar and health/hunger bars. If you only want the menus themed, you'll need to combine it carefully with a HUD-only pack.
Will this work with other GUI resource packs?
Only one pack can control a given GUI texture at a time, so overlapping packs will conflict. Put Recolourful Containers above the other pack if you want its container colors to take priority.
Can I use this with shaders or performance mods?
Yes, it's a resource pack so it doesn't conflict with shaders or optimization mods. It only swaps textures, so performance impact is negligible.
Do I need any mods for this to work, or just the resource pack?
It's a pure resource pack, so it works on vanilla and with most mod loaders without extra dependencies. Just enable it in your resource pack menu.
Why do some containers look themed and others don't?
The pack only covers containers it has textures for, so blocks it doesn't support will keep their vanilla GUI. Check the pack's file list to see which containers are included.
How do I make the HUD colors match without breaking my other overlays?
Load Recolourful Containers above packs that only touch the hotbar or bars, and below any pack whose overlays you want to keep. Reload textures after reordering to confirm nothing overlaps.
My GUI looks blurry or stretched after installing this, what's wrong?
This usually means another pack is partially overriding the same textures, or your GUI scale changed. Try setting GUI scale to auto or a fixed value and reload the pack.
Can I turn off just the HUD part and keep the container colors?
Not with a single toggle, since it's one pack. You'd need to combine it with a pack that only changes containers, or edit the pack to remove the HUD textures yourself.
