Set Up an NPC as a Shop Keeper Using ItemsAdder
Prepare Your NPC Configuration
ItemsAdder integration lets you turn any Realms NPC into a functional shopkeeper. Start by locating your ItemsAdder config folder and creating a new .yml file for your NPC entity.
Create the NPC Entity
1. Define the NPC using ModelEngine's entity format, specifying which character model you want (Knight, King, Tavern Keeper, Jester, or Enchantress).
2. Set the model ID to match the Realms NPC Vol 2 model you've chosen.
3. Configure the NPC's display name and any custom lore.
4. Enable the wave animation in the animation settings so the NPC greets players.
Link to ItemsAdder Shop
1. In your ItemsAdder shop configuration, reference the NPC entity ID.
2. Set the NPC's interaction type to open your shop menu when right-clicked.
3. Position the NPC in your world using /summon or your plugin's spawn command.
4. Test the interaction—the NPC should wave and open the shop interface.
The Tavern Keeper model works especially well for this role, but any character can serve as a shopkeeper with proper configuration.
