Understand and Manage AFK Status Detection

How Automatic AFK Detection Works

The plugin monitors player activity and automatically marks inactive players with the AFK color (default gray) after a period of inactivity. This happens without any action needed from the player—their name simply changes color in chat and the player list when they stop moving or interacting.

Manually Toggle Your AFK Status

Use the AFK toggle command (typically /afk or /away) to manually mark yourself as away, even if you're still active. This is useful if you're stepping away briefly but want others to know immediately. Toggle the command again to return to active status.

What Triggers AFK Status

Inactivity usually means no movement, block breaking, block placing, or chat messages. Simply standing still will eventually trigger AFK status. The exact timeout duration depends on your server's configuration.

Returning to Active Status

Moving, breaking blocks, placing blocks, or sending chat messages will automatically clear your AFK status and restore your dimension color. Manual AFK status also clears the same way.
