Troubleshoot Color Display Issues Across Dimensions
Verify Dimension Names in Config
Check that your configuration file uses the exact dimension identifiers your server recognizes. Common dimensions are minecraft:overworld, minecraft:nether, and minecraft:the_end. Custom dimensions need their full namespace. Typos or incorrect names will cause colors to fail.
Check Color Code Syntax
Ensure all color codes follow the correct format for your config type. Minecraft color codes use & followed by a character (like &6 for gold). Some configs use hex codes instead—verify which format your plugin expects.
Test with a Single Player
Have one player travel between dimensions while you watch their name in chat and the player list. If colors update in one location but not the other, you may have one feature disabled. If colors don't update at all, the config likely has a syntax error.
Reload After Changes
Always reload the plugin after editing the config file. Changes won't apply until the plugin reloads. Check server logs for error messages that might indicate config problems.
