Enter a boat normally by right-clicking it. The mod automatically orients your camera to face backwards, so you'll be looking toward the stern of the boat instead of the bow. Use your normal forward movement keys to row in the direction you're facing (backwards relative to the boat's front).

This is the core feature of the mod—it mimics real-life rowing where the rower faces the direction they came from, not where they're going. Your camera is reversed to match this realistic positioning, and your paddle animations align with your actual hand position.

The backwards perspective is fundamental to how the mod works and cannot be disabled without removing the mod. If you need traditional forward-facing rowing, you'll need to use vanilla boats instead.
