Use Solid Blocks as Cover

The core advantage of Realistic Nametag Mod is that your name tag disappears when hidden behind solid blocks. Position yourself behind walls, inside caves, or under terrain where other players cannot see through to your position.

Steps:

1. Find a hiding spot with at least one solid block (stone, dirt, wood, etc.) between you and potential seekers

2. Stand so that your body is completely obscured by the block from the seeker's viewpoint

3. Your name tag will vanish from their screen, making you undetectable by floating text

4. Avoid standing in front of transparent blocks like glass or water—your name tag will still show through these

Partial Cover Strategy

If only half your name tag is blocked, only that portion becomes invisible. Use this to your advantage by positioning yourself so your name tag is split between solid and transparent blocks, making it harder to pinpoint your exact location.

Important: All players on your server must have the mod installed for this to work fairly. Without it, other players will still see your name tag floating through walls.
