Realistic Cobwebs Mod 1.14, 1.12.2 for Minecraft FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I remove cobwebs with this mod?
Right-click on any cobweb while holding a torch or flint and steel to remove it. The cobweb will break and drop as an item.
What's the difference between real and fake cobwebs?
Real cobwebs are vanilla Minecraft cobwebs that can be removed with torches or flint and steel. Decorative fake cobwebs are placed by players and serve only as decoration—they cannot be removed with these tools.
How do I place decorative cobwebs?
Craft or obtain decorative cobwebs from the mod, then place them like any other block. These fake cobwebs won't break when you use torches or flint and steel on them.
Do I need a specific tool to remove cobwebs or just the torch?
You can use either a torch or flint and steel—both work equally well for removing real cobwebs. You don't need any special tools beyond these.
Can I remove cobwebs with other fire sources like lava or campfires?
No, only torches and flint and steel will remove cobwebs with this mod. Other fire sources won't trigger the removal mechanic.
Do decorative cobwebs have collision or can I walk through them?
Decorative fake cobwebs function as solid blocks, so you cannot walk through them—they behave like regular placed blocks.
Will this mod affect cobwebs in the Nether or End?
Yes, the mod works on all cobwebs regardless of dimension. You can remove cobwebs with torches or flint and steel anywhere in your world.
Does removing cobwebs with a torch consume the torch?
No, using a torch to remove cobwebs does not damage or consume the torch—you can use the same torch repeatedly.
Can I get cobwebs back after removing them?
Removed cobwebs drop as items that you can pick up and place again, or you can use decorative fake cobwebs if you want a permanent decoration.
Does this mod affect performance or cause lag?
The mod is lightweight and should not cause noticeable performance issues, though results may vary depending on your system and other mods installed.
