Trade with Librarians for Reach Enchantment

Find and Breed Librarians

Librarians are villagers who trade enchanted books. Locate a village or create a breeder:

1. Find a village or spawn villagers using spawn eggs

2. Identify librarians by their purple robes and lecterns

3. If no librarians exist, convert unemployed villagers by placing lecterns nearby

Check Their Trades

1. Right-click a librarian to open their trade menu

2. Scroll through available books

3. Look for Reach enchantment offers

4. Different librarians stock different books—check multiple ones

Complete the Trade

1. Gather the required payment (usually emeralds)

2. Trade for the Reach book

3. Repeat with other librarians to collect higher levels

Optimize Your Search

If a librarian doesn't offer Reach, you can reset their trades by breaking their lectern and replacing it. This generates a new random trade list. This method is slower than chest hunting but guarantees you control the outcome once you find the right librarian.
