Reach Enchantment Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get Reach Enchantment for the first time?
You can obtain Reach through three methods: use an Enchantment Table with lapis lazuli and experience, search naturally generated chests in various structures, or trade emeralds with librarians who have it in stock. The enchantment table method requires the most resources but is the most reliable.
What tools can I put Reach on?
Reach can be applied to all mining tools, including pickaxes, axes, shovels, and hoes. You can also enchant other tools depending on your mod setup, but mining tools receive the most practical benefit.
What's the difference between Reach Level I and Level V?
Reach Level I extends your block interaction range by 1 block, while Level V extends it by 4 blocks. Each level increases the range progressively, and each level has a distinct color code in-game to help you identify which version you're holding.
Can I combine Reach with other enchantments?
Yes, Reach works alongside standard mining enchantments like Efficiency, Fortune, and Unbreaking. You can apply multiple enchantments to the same tool using an anvil or enchantment table.
Does Reach work on all blocks or just certain ones?
Reach extends your interaction range for breaking any block type, but it only affects block breaking distance—it doesn't change how blocks behave or what they drop. The extended range applies universally to all mineable blocks.
Why can't I find Reach in the Enchantment Table?
Enchantment Table availability depends on your experience level and luck; keep enchanting tools or books to increase your chances. If you're having consistent trouble, try trading with librarians or searching naturally generated chests as alternative sources.
Does Reach affect my attack range or only block breaking?
Reach only extends your block interaction range for mining and breaking blocks. It does not affect melee combat distance or other non-mining interactions.
Can I use Reach on a hoe or is it only for pickaxes?
Reach can be applied to hoes along with all other mining tools. This is useful for tilling soil or harvesting crops from a greater distance.
What happens if I have Reach on multiple tools?
Each tool with Reach will grant its range bonus independently when you're holding that tool. You can carry multiple Reach-enchanted tools and switch between them depending on your task.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Reach Enchantment Mod is lightweight and does not require significant server or client resources. It should have minimal to no impact on performance in most setups.
