Maximize Your Mining Range with Reach Level V

Understand Reach Levels

Reach enchantment has five levels, each adding to your block interaction distance:

• Level I – smallest range increase
• Level V – maximum range increase

Level V is the most valuable and rarest to find. Higher levels appear less frequently in chests and librarian trades.

Strategies to Obtain Level V

Enchantment Table: Keep enchanting tools until Level V appears. This requires patience and many lapis lazuli.

Chest Hunting: Search end cities and strongholds first—they contain the rarest loot. Level V books are uncommon but possible.

Librarian Trading: Breed multiple librarians and check their trades repeatedly. Reset lecterns to generate new trade lists until one offers Level V.

Apply and Test

Once you have a Level V book, use an anvil to apply it to your primary mining tool. Stand at a distance from blocks and attempt to break them—you'll notice a significant range increase compared to lower levels, making mining and harvesting much faster.
