Find Reach Enchantment in Naturally Generated Chests

Search High-Value Loot Locations

Reach enchantment books spawn in naturally generated chests throughout your world. Focus your search on structures known to contain valuable loot:

• Strongholds – explore end portals and libraries
• Nether fortresses – check treasure rooms
• Desert temples – loot the central chamber
• Jungle temples – break through to hidden rooms
• End cities – search all accessible chests

Collect Enchanted Books

1. Open each chest you find

2. Look for enchanted books (they have a purple shimmer)

3. Grab any Reach books and note their level

4. Higher-level Reach books are rarer; keep searching if you want Level V

Apply to Your Tools

Once you have a Reach book, use an anvil to combine it with your mining tools. Place the tool in the left slot and the book in the right slot. This works for any tool type and preserves other enchantments already on the tool.
