Change the Color of a Specific Item's Rarity Background

Access the Creative Menu

Open your creative inventory and locate the item whose rarity color you want to modify. You don't need to be in creative mode to change colors—this feature is accessible from the creative menu interface.

Modify the Rarity Level

With the item visible in your creative inventory, look for the rarity customization option. RarityCore allows you to click through rarity levels directly without needing to edit configuration files. Each click cycles the item to the next rarity tier, changing its background color accordingly.

Understand the Rarity Tiers

The mod uses seven distinct rarity levels, each with its own color. By cycling through the tiers, you can assign any item to any rarity level you prefer. This is useful when the automatic recipe calculation doesn't match your personal sense of an item's value, or when you want to highlight specific items for organization purposes.

Save Your Changes

Once you've set an item to your desired rarity level, the change persists in your world. The colored background will display consistently in your inventory and any connected storage systems that support RarityCore's coloring.
