Adapt Q-Train Cars to Different Platform Sizes

Measure Your Station Platforms

Before spawning trains, check your platform length in blocks. Most standard Minecraft stations are 8–16 blocks long. This determines which Q-Train size you should use.

Select the Right Train Size

Normal-sized Q-Trains are longest and require full-length platforms. Small variants fit medium stations. Mini trains work in compact urban areas or branch lines with shorter platforms. All three sizes are available across Urban, Tung Chung, and Airport Express liveries.

Test Coupling and Alignment

Spawn your chosen size on the track and verify that passengers can board smoothly and the train aligns with platform edges. If the train overhangs the platform, switch to a smaller variant. If it's too short and looks odd, upgrade to the next size up.

Build Flexible Networks

Use mini trains on branch lines and small/normal trains on main routes. This creates realistic service variety—express lines use longer trains while local services use shorter ones. The resource pack supports this workflow by offering every livery in all three sizes.
