Rapid Transit Draft Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get Q-Train models to appear in the game?
The resource pack remodels existing C-Train cars from the Minecraft Transit Railway mod, so you need MTR installed first. Load the Rapid Transit Draft Resource Pack as a resource pack in your world settings, and C-Train spawners will display Q-Train models instead.
What's the difference between normal, small, and mini Q-Train sizes?
These are three different car length variants designed to fit different platform sizes in your metro line. Normal is the standard length, small is shorter, and mini is the most compact—choose based on your station platform dimensions.
Do all Q-Train liveries come with custom sounds?
Only the Tung Chung Line livery includes custom BVE train sounds; the Urban line and Airport Express liveries use standard audio. You can add custom sounds to other liveries by following the Set Up Custom Train Sounds guide.
Can I use the Airport Express baggage car with other liveries?
The baggage car is designed as a matching cargo variant for the Airport Express livery, but you can attempt to couple it with other Q-Train models depending on how MTR handles car compatibility in your setup.
How do I change which livery a train uses on my line?
Liveries are assigned through MTR's train configuration system when you create or edit a route. Select your desired Q-Train livery (Urban, Tung Chung, or Airport Express) during the train set setup for that line.
Will this resource pack work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, but all players must have the resource pack installed on their client side for them to see the Q-Train models. Server-side, only MTR needs to be installed.
What do I do if Q-Trains look like regular C-Trains?
Check that the Rapid Transit Draft Resource Pack is enabled and has higher priority than conflicting packs in your resource pack list. Reload your world or restart the game if changes don't apply immediately.
Can I mix different Q-Train liveries on the same line?
MTR typically assigns one train set per route, but you can create multiple routes with different Q-Train liveries running on the same tracks to simulate mixed-livery service.
Do the passenger seat colors match the real-world trains?
Yes—the blue and yellow seats in the interior match the actual Q-Train design, and each livery has interior details appropriate to its real-world counterpart.
What happens to performance when I use custom sounds on multiple routes?
Custom BVE sounds add minimal overhead, but running many simultaneous trains with audio on lower-end systems may cause lag. Test with a few routes first and disable sounds on less-used lines if needed.
