How to Use Random Shulker Colours on a Multiplayer Server
Server-side means server-controlled
This mod runs on the server side, which is the key fact for multiplayer. That means the colour randomisation happens on the server, and the server's configuration decides which colours are possible. Individual players do not install anything to see the colours, and they cannot override the server's settings from their own client.
Setting it up on your server
1. Install the mod on the server as you would any server-side mod, following your server software's normal mod-loading process.
2. Start the server once so it generates its config file.
3. Stop the server, edit the config to choose which Shulker colours are allowed, then start it again.
4. Join with a normal client and travel to where Shulkers spawn, such as an End City, to confirm new Shulkers roll random colours.
What players will and won't see
Players who have not installed the mod on their own client will still see the coloured shells, because the server tells the client what colour each Shulker is. What they will not get is any client-side option to change colours — that is entirely up to the server config. If a player wants a different colour palette, they need to ask whoever runs the server to adjust it. Existing Shulkers keep their colours until they are removed and new ones spawn.
