Radiant Veneer Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why aren't my armor trims glowing?
Make sure you're wearing armor that actually has a trim applied to it—the mod only adds glow to trims that already exist. Also verify the mod is in your mods folder and you've launched through your Fabric profile, as it won't work on vanilla or other mod loaders.
Does this mod work on servers?
Yes, since it's client-side only, you can use it on any server without needing the server to have the mod installed. Other players won't see your glowing trims unless they also have the mod, but it won't cause any conflicts.
Can I turn off the glow for specific armor pieces?
No, the mod applies the glow effect to all armor trims automatically with no configuration options. If you want some armor without glow, you'll need to remove the trim or temporarily disable the mod.
Does the glow affect my FPS or cause lag?
The mod is lightweight since it only modifies how trims render, but performance depends on your system and how many glowing entities are nearby. If you notice lag, try reducing the number of armor stands with trims in one area or lower your render distance.
Will this work with armor trim patterns I add with other mods?
Yes, the glow effect applies to any armor trim pattern in the game, including those added by other mods, as long as they use the standard trim system.
Do I need to do anything special to see the glow on armor stands?
No, just place an armor stand with trimmed armor in it and the glow will display automatically. Armor stands are great for decorative lighting since the effect works on them just like on players.
Does the glow brightness change based on time of day?
No, the glow stays at the same brightness during day and night, which is the main feature of this mod—your trims are always radiant regardless of light level.
Can I use this mod with Optifine or other rendering mods?
Compatibility depends on the specific mod, but since Radiant Veneer is client-side and only affects trim rendering, it generally works well with most mods. Test it in your world to be sure, and check community forums if you experience conflicts.
What happens if I unequip armor with a glowing trim?
The glow effect only appears on armor that's actively equipped on a player or placed on an armor stand—it won't glow in your inventory or on the ground.
Does this mod work with all armor types?
Yes, the glow works on any armor piece (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) as long as it has a trim applied to it, regardless of the armor material.
