Planning Your Layout

For efficient sorting, arrange your storage chests in a grid pattern around your Quicksorter, keeping them within range (5 blocks for emerald, 10 for diamond).

Setup Steps

1. Place your Quicksorter (chest on emerald/diamond block) in the center

2. Arrange storage chests around it within range

3. In each storage chest, place a small amount of the item type it will hold (e.g., 1 oak log in the "wood" chest)

4. Label chests with signs for easy identification

Sorting Process

When you dump items into the Quicksorter, the mod scans nearby chests for matching items and distributes accordingly. Items with no matching chest remain in the Quicksorter. You can then manually move those items to create new storage categories, or ignore them if they're not needed.

This system works best when you've pre-organized your storage categories and seeded each chest with at least one item of its type.
