Quickly Organize Items Into Multiple Chests

Understanding Quick Stack Behavior

The Quick Stack All function transfers items to the nearest chest only—it doesn't distribute across multiple chests in one action. To organize into several chests efficiently, you'll need to move between them.

Organize by Proximity

Arrange your storage chests in a line or cluster, spacing them within 6-7 blocks of each other. Stand in the center or move between them systematically. Use Quick Stack All at each position—items will always go to the closest available chest.

Use Quick Stack Matching for Sorting

Once items are distributed, use the Quick Stack Matching function to consolidate. If you have a "materials" chest and a "building blocks" chest, place matching stacks in each, then use Quick Stack Matching near your inventory. It will only send items to chests that already contain that item type, keeping your organization system intact.

Pro Tip

Label your chests with signs or use different wood types to visually distinguish storage areas. This makes it easier to remember which chest is nearest when you need to quick stack.
