Quick Resource Pack Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I set up my first resource pack to toggle?
Open your Resource Packs menu in settings, find the pack you want, and click the "Set for Quick Toggle" button. Alternatively, open the mod's dedicated menu and select your pack from there. Once set, press R (or your custom keybind) to toggle it on and off during gameplay.
Can I change the keybind from R to something else?
Yes, open the mod menu or your game's controls settings and rebind the Quick Toggle key to whatever you prefer. The new keybind will apply immediately.
Why does my game freeze when I switch packs?
The mod loads textures in the background by default to prevent freezes, but if you're experiencing lag, check that background loading is enabled in the mod settings. If you're switching between very large packs, some brief loading is normal, but it should not cause a full game freeze.
Do I need to install this mod on the server?
No, this mod runs entirely on the client side, so you only need to install it in your game. It works on single-player worlds and multiplayer servers without any server-side installation.
Can I turn off the toast notifications?
Yes, open the mod menu and toggle the alert notifications option to disable the on-screen popups. You can turn them back on anytime from the same menu.
What happens if I toggle a pack while another one is still loading?
The mod queues your action and applies it once the current load completes, so you won't interrupt the texture loading process. A toast notification will confirm when your new toggle state is active.
Can I set the pack to load automatically when I start the game?
Yes, open the mod menu, select your quick-toggle pack, and enable the "Auto-load on startup" option. Your pack will activate automatically every time you launch the game.
Does this mod work with shader packs or only resource packs?
This mod only toggles resource packs, not shader packs. Shader packs are managed separately through your graphics settings.
Can I have multiple packs set to toggle, or just one?
The quick toggle feature binds to a single pack at a time. If you want to switch which pack is bound, use the "Set for Quick Toggle" button on a different pack, and it will replace the previous binding.
Why isn't the mod menu appearing when I open settings?
Make sure the mod is properly installed and enabled in your mods folder. If it's installed, try pressing your quick toggle keybind (R by default) to see if the mod is responding, or check that you're looking in the correct settings location for the mod menu.
