Building Long Routes with Chained Path Segments
Why Chain Segments
A single path connects just two points. For a long road, trail, or walkway, you create several short paths back to back. Each new path starts where the previous one ended, giving you a continuous route.
Step-by-Step Chaining
1. Crouch and right-click your starting block with a shovel.
2. Right-click your first waypoint to create the first segment.
3. Move to that waypoint and crouch-right-click it again to set it as the new start.
4. Right-click the next waypoint to create the second segment.
5. Repeat until your route is complete.
Keeping It Clean
- Plan your waypoints before you start so the route curves the way you want.
- If a segment goes the wrong way, right-click its end block to undo just that piece, then redo it.
- Use natural landmarks as waypoints so the path hugs the terrain nicely.
- For branching routes, finish the main line first, then create separate paths for each branch.
- Remember each segment is independent, so you can undo any single piece without affecting the others.
