Quick Paths Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start making a path with this mod?
Hold a shovel and crouch and right-click the block where you want the path to begin. Then right-click the block where you want it to end, and the path appears between the two points.
What tool do I need to create a path?
You need a shovel in your hand. Any shovel type works, and the mod uses the same tool for both creating and removing paths.
How do I set the starting point of a path?
Crouch and right-click the block you want the path to start from while holding a shovel. This marks the first point, and the next right-click sets the end.
How do I finish a path after setting the start point?
Simply right-click the block where you want the path to end. You do not need to crouch for the second click, and the path will generate immediately.
How do I remove a path I just made?
Right-click the last block of the path with a shovel and it will be undone. This removes the path as if it was never placed.
Can I undo a path without removing the whole thing?
The undo works from the end of the path, so right-clicking the last block removes it. You cannot selectively remove middle sections; you undo from the end backward.
Why won't my path appear after I set both points?
Make sure you are holding a shovel for both clicks and that the second click is a normal right-click, not a crouch-click. Also check that the two points are on valid ground the mod can convert.
Does the path have to be a straight line?
The path is generated between the two points you select, so it follows the terrain between them. It is not limited to a single straight block line.
Can I chain multiple paths together for a long route?
Yes, you can set a new start point at the end of your previous path and continue. This lets you build long routes segment by segment.
Does this mod work on servers and with other mods?
It works wherever the mod is installed, including servers that have it. It is a small utility mod, so it generally plays fine alongside other mods without conflicts.
