Create Your First Custom Quest
Opening the Editor
Start by typing /ql edit_mode in chat. This opens the quest creation menu where you can build tasks from scratch or use built-in presets to speed up the process.
Setting Up a Basic Quest
1. Choose a quest name and description that explains what players need to do
2. Define your objectives—these can be item collection, block placement, mob defeats, or other in-game actions
3. Set completion rewards if desired (optional but recommended for motivation)
4. Test your quest by completing the objectives in your world
Saving Your Work
Once you're satisfied, the mod automatically stores your quest data as JSON files in your questlog folder. You can edit these files directly if you want fine-grained control over quest behavior, or continue using the editor menu for simpler adjustments.
Start with a single, straightforward quest to learn the system. Once you're comfortable, you can chain multiple quests together or add complex conditions.
