Build a Multi-Stage Quest Chain
Planning Your Quest Sequence
Decide on a story or theme for your chain. For example: gather resources → craft items → place structures → defeat enemies. Each stage becomes a separate quest that logically follows the previous one.
Creating Individual Quests
Use /ql edit_mode to create each quest in your chain. Make the first quest simple and rewarding so players feel motivated to continue. Each subsequent quest should build on skills or items from earlier stages.
Linking Quests Together
While the mod doesn't have built-in quest dependencies, you can create the illusion of progression by:
- Naming quests sequentially ("Part 1," "Part 2," etc.)
- Requiring items from previous quests as objectives in later ones
- Writing descriptions that reference earlier accomplishments
Testing Your Chain
Complete each quest in order to ensure the progression feels natural. Adjust objectives or rewards if any stage feels too easy, too hard, or disconnected from the story you're telling.
