Why Lower Your Shield?

When holding a shield in first-person view, the default Minecraft position blocks a significant portion of your screen. This resource pack repositions the shield model lower, giving you a clearer sightline during combat and exploration.

How It Works

Once the Quark Vanilla Resource Overrides Resource Pack is applied to your world, the shield automatically renders at a lower position in your first-person view. No configuration is needed—the change takes effect immediately.

Applying the Pack

1. Load into your Minecraft world (modded or unmodded)

2. Open your resource packs folder

3. Place the Quark Vanilla Resource Overrides pack in the active packs section

4. Reload your world or use F3+T to refresh textures

The shield will now sit lower on your screen, allowing you to see more of the environment while defending. This is especially useful during PvP encounters, cave exploration, and combat with mobs where visibility is critical.
