Quark Vanilla Resource Overrides Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need Forge or Fabric to use this resource pack?
No, this is a pure resource pack that works in completely unmodded Minecraft. Simply drop it into your resourcepacks folder and enable it like any other pack.
Why is my shield still blocking my view even with this pack?
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and ranked above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list. If multiple packs modify shield models, the one listed higher takes priority.
Will this pack work with my modded world?
Yes, it works in both vanilla and modded setups. It only changes textures and models for vanilla blocks and items, so it won't conflict with mod content.
How do I know which direction an Observer block is facing now?
The updated Observer blocks display clear directional arrow indicators on their front face, making it easy to see which way they're pointing without guessing.
Does this pack change how pistons work or just how they look?
Only the visuals change—the pack ports Bedrock Edition piston models to Java Edition but doesn't alter any gameplay mechanics or redstone behavior.
Can I use this pack alongside other resource packs?
Yes, but if another pack also modifies the same blocks (shield, observer, piston, creeper, furnace), you'll need to decide which one takes priority by ordering them in your resource pack list.
What exactly changed about the Creeper texture?
The Creeper has been updated to match modern game art styling, giving it a more current look that fits with recent Minecraft visual updates.
Do furnaces look completely different or just the bottom?
Only the bottom texture of furnaces has been updated with dedicated textures; the rest of the furnace appearance remains the same.
Will enabling this pack affect my performance or FPS?
No, resource packs have negligible performance impact. This pack only swaps textures and models, so it won't slow down your game.
Can I disable just one feature, like the shield change, and keep the others?
Resource packs are all-or-nothing when enabled, but you can create a custom pack by editing the files to remove features you don't want, or use a separate pack that only includes your preferred changes.
