Quark Oddities Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable Quark Oddities features if the mod file has no content?
Quark Oddities is just a config toggle for features that already exist inside the main Quark mod, so you need Quark installed alongside it. Once both are present, the oddities features (like copper pipes and the backpack) activate automatically through Quark's config system.
Do I need Quark installed to use Quark Oddities?
Yes. Quark Oddities contains no content of its own and only flips on features that live inside the main Quark mod, so without Quark nothing will appear in-game.
How do I get the backpack in Quark Oddities?
Kill a Ravager and it can drop a rare hide item, which is used to craft the backpack. The backpack expands your inventory when worn or held, depending on how the feature is configured.
How do copper pipes work in Quark Oddities?
Items inserted into a copper pipe travel along it automatically, searching for a valid exit. When they reach an endpoint or a valid output, they pop out like a dispenser would.
How do I put items into a copper pipe?
You can feed items in with a hopper or dispenser pointing into the pipe, or simply throw the items directly at the pipe. Any of these methods will start the item moving through the pipe network.
How do I make items exit a copper pipe in a specific direction?
Copper pipes follow simple routing rules and will try to find a valid exit, so you control direction by how you shape the pipe run and where you leave open ends. Blocking unwanted directions with solid pipes or dead ends forces items toward the exit you want.
What is the copper pipe inside a glass block for?
It is a see-through variant of the copper pipe, useful when you want to watch items traveling through your system. Functionally it behaves like a normal copper pipe, just with a visible window.
Why are my items not moving through the copper pipes?
Items need a valid exit to travel toward; if every end is blocked or the pipe run has no output, items will stall. Check that at least one end is open or leads into a container, and that nothing is capping the pipe.
Can copper pipes connect to hoppers and dispensers?
Yes. Hoppers and dispensers can feed items into pipes, and pipes can also output into containers at their ends. This makes them a simple alternative to long hopper chains for item transport.
Does Quark Oddities hurt performance or conflict with other mods?
Since the mod adds no content of its own and only toggles Quark features, it has essentially no performance cost beyond whatever the underlying Quark features use. Conflicts are rare and would come from the Quark features themselves rather than this toggle mod.
