Quality Armory Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I give myself a gun with commands?
Use the plugin's give command with the gun's name as the argument, targeting yourself or another player. Run the base command with no arguments to see the list of available gun names and subcommands.
Why do my guns look like plain items or purple blocks?
The server's resource pack isn't being applied, so the custom models aren't showing. Make sure the built-in resource pack distributor is enabled and that you accept the pack when joining, then relog if it still looks wrong.
How do I reload my gun?
Press the reload keybind (check your controls for the Quality Armory reload key) while holding the gun, or use the plugin's reload command. Reloading pulls from the ammo you're carrying, so keep the right ammo type in your inventory.
How do I get ammo?
Craft ammo using the plugin's recipes, or obtain it through the give command if you have permission. Each gun uses a specific ammo type, so match the ammo to the weapon you're using.
My gun won't shoot, what's wrong?
You're most likely out of ammo or the gun isn't reloaded. Check your ammo count, reload, and confirm you're holding the correct ammo type for that weapon.
How do I aim down sights?
Hold the gun and use the aim keybind (often right-click or a dedicated key) to enter aiming mode. Aiming typically tightens spread and may slow your movement.
How do I attach a scope or other attachment to my gun?
Attachments are applied through the plugin's attachment system, usually by holding the gun and using the attachment item or command. Not every gun supports every attachment, so check what the specific weapon accepts.
Can I use Quality Armory guns in survival without them replacing vanilla items?
Yes, the plugin is designed so guns are loaded onto select items and data values without replacing base game items. You shouldn't see gun textures unless you're actually given a gun.
Is Quality Armory compatible with EssentialsX?
There's a known conflict: EssentialsX can make players invulnerable after teleporting, which interferes with gun damage. Adjust the relevant EssentialsX setting or disable that invulnerability behavior to fix it.
Will adding lots of guns lag my server?
The plugin is built to be lightweight and doesn't replace base game items, so normal use is fine. Heavy gunfire, many players shooting at once, or large numbers of dropped gun items are the usual causes of lag if it appears.
