PVP Flagging Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn PVP on or off?
Use the PVP toggle command or keybind (check your controls menu) to switch your PVP flag on or off. When flagged, your name tag will show your PVP status to other players.
Can I fight someone who doesn't have PVP enabled?
No, both players must be flagged for PVP before combat can occur. If one player is unflagged, damage will not be dealt.
What happens if I take damage while trying to unflag?
Taking or dealing any damage cancels your unflag request, and you'll need to start the unflag timer again from the beginning.
How long does it take to unflag from PVP?
The default unflag time is configurable by server admins, but typically takes around 15 seconds of standing still without combat.
What are PVP zones and how do they work?
PVP zones are areas defined by admins where players are automatically flagged for PVP upon entry. You'll receive a warning notification when entering these zones.
If I log out while unflagging, what happens?
Logging out cancels any pending unflag request, so you'll remain flagged when you rejoin the server.
How can I see if another player has PVP enabled?
Look at their name tag overlay—it displays their current PVP status so you can see at a glance whether they're flagged for combat.
Does this mod work with Minecraft teams?
Yes, the mod supports Minecraft team settings, allowing it to integrate with existing group and faction systems on your server.
Can admins force me into PVP in certain areas?
Yes, if an admin has set up a PVP zone, you'll be automatically flagged when you enter it, though you'll receive a warning notification first.
What happens if I flag for PVP but then change my mind?
You can toggle PVP off, but you'll need to wait through the unflag timer (during which you cannot take damage) before your flag is fully removed.
