Project MMO Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Why can't I use my diamond pickaxe?
Tools and armor require specific skill levels to equip. Check your current levels by pressing P to open the customization menu, then look at the level requirement for that tool. You'll need to gain experience in the appropriate skill (like Mining) before you can use it.
How do I gain experience in different skills?
Each skill levels up through specific actions: break blocks for Mining, sprint and jump for Agility, take damage for Endurance, farm crops for Farming, and so on. The mod tracks your progress automatically as you play normally.
What does the Mass Block Mining ability do?
Mass Block Mining lets you charge an ability to break multiple blocks in a cluster at once instead of one at a time, speeding up mining significantly. You unlock this ability at a certain Mining level—check your skill menu to see when it becomes available.
How do I see my current level and XP progress?
Press P to open the customization menu, where you can view all your skill levels and how much XP you've earned toward your next level in each skill. The mod also sends chat notifications whenever you level up or gain XP.
Can I reset my skills or respec my levels?
Check the customization menu (P key) for reset or respec options—the mod may offer a way to redistribute your skill points, though this depends on your server or world settings.
Do I need to wear armor to gain Endurance experience?
No, you gain Endurance experience by taking damage, regardless of what armor you're wearing. However, you still need to meet the level requirement to equip higher-tier armor for its protective benefits.
Will this mod slow down my game?
Project MMO Mod is generally lightweight since it mainly tracks player actions and levels. Performance impact is minimal on most systems, though it depends on your overall modpack and hardware.
Can I use this mod on a multiplayer server?
Yes, the mod works on multiplayer servers and tracks each player's levels independently. Server administrators can configure level requirements and progression settings through the mod's config files.
What happens if I die—do I lose my levels?
No, your skill levels are permanent and tied to your player profile. Dying does not reset or reduce your levels or experience progress.
Can I use potion effects as an ability?
Yes, the mod includes potion-based active abilities that unlock as you level up certain skills. These grant temporary buffs similar to drinking potions, but are triggered as abilities instead.
