How to Place Blocks Without Gaps or Double Placements
The Two Problems You Are Fixing
Gaps happen when you walk faster than the vanilla placement delay allows. Double placements happen when you pause on a block and the game registers an extra click. Both ruin long walls and bridges.
Getting a Clean Continuous Line
1. Pick a straight reference line — a row of existing blocks, a torch line, or the edge of a chunk — so you can walk in a straight path.
2. Aim at the face of the starting block, hold right-click, and begin walking at a steady pace. Do not sprint; sprinting still outpaces placement on long runs.
3. Keep the button held the entire time. The mod locks the placement direction, so small mouse movements will not cause a block to appear on a perpendicular face.
4. If you need to stop, release the button before you stop moving. Stopping while still holding is the main cause of double placements.
5. To resume, re-aim at the last placed block and hold again.
When to Use Air-Click Placement
If you are building a wall in open air with nothing to attach to, aim at the empty space in the direction you want the block to go and click. This is faster than building a temporary scaffold just to have a face to target.
Common Mistake
Trying to place while looking straight down or straight up. Keep your crosshair roughly level with the row you are building so the locked direction matches your intent.
