Set Up Custom Tunnel Shapes for Efficient Mining
Access Digging Mode Settings
Open your mod keybinds menu and locate the Prismatic Ore Excavation options. You'll find settings to select your preferred tunnel shape before you start mining.
Choose Your Tunnel Pattern
The mod offers several predefined digging shapes:
- 3×3 tunnels — breaks a wide corridor, ideal for main highways
- 2×1 shafts — a narrow vertical or horizontal passage, useful for minimizing block destruction
- Staircases — automatically creates stepped descents or ascents
Apply Your Selection
Select your desired shape from the keybind settings. Once configured, activate the mod by holding your set key or sneaking while looking at stone or ore. The visual outline box will show you exactly which blocks match your chosen pattern. Swing your tool to execute the tunnel shape across connected blocks.
Switch Modes Mid-Session
You can change tunnel shapes anytime through the settings menu without restarting. This lets you adapt your mining strategy — use 3×3 for main tunnels and switch to 2×1 for branch mining to conserve resources.
