The mod includes built-in durability safeguards. When your tool's durability reaches one remaining point, the mod automatically stops breaking blocks. This prevents your tool from shattering mid-vein.

Monitor Your Durability

Watch your tool's durability bar as you mine. When it approaches the final point, the mod will halt vein-breaking actions. You can then repair your tool at an anvil or crafting table before resuming large-scale mining.

Manage Hunger Costs

Vein mining consumes hunger. Check your mod config to see the hunger drain rate — breaking larger veins costs more. Eat food before attempting massive excavations to avoid running out of hunger mid-swing, which could interrupt your mining session.

Plan Your Sessions

Bring repair materials and food when mining extensively. The durability protection means you won't lose your tool, but you'll need to pause periodically to restore both durability and hunger. This encourages strategic mining rather than continuous grinding.
