Prismatic Monoliths Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I apply a custom skin to my Pokémon?
Use the skin selection menu (usually accessed via command or GUI) to browse available character themes, then select the skin you want and apply it to your Pokémon. The skin will persist on that Pokémon until you change it to a different one.
Do custom skins work on shiny Pokémon?
Yes, the mod includes separate shiny variants for most character skins, so your shiny Pokémon will display the appropriate shiny version of the crossover outfit you've selected.
Can I use custom skins on Mega Evolutions and Gigantamax forms?
Yes, the mod provides themed appearances for Mega Evolution and Gigantamax states, so your Pokémon will keep their character skin when they transform into these special forms.
What happens to custom skins if I catch a Pokémon in the wild?
Wild Pokémon spawn with default appearances; you'll need to manually apply a custom skin to any newly caught Pokémon if you want them to use a character theme.
Are custom skins visible to other players in multiplayer?
Yes, custom skins are synced across multiplayer servers, so other players will see your Pokémon wearing the character outfits you've applied.
Can I use this mod without Cobblemon?
No, Prismatic Monoliths Mod is designed specifically to add skins for Cobblemon Pokémon, so you need Cobblemon installed for the mod to work.
Do custom skins affect Pokémon stats or battle mechanics?
No, skins are purely cosmetic and don't change stats, abilities, movesets, or any gameplay mechanics—only the visual appearance of your Pokémon.
Can I remove a custom skin and go back to the default look?
Yes, you can reapply the default skin through the skin menu, or the mod typically includes a 'reset' or 'default' option to restore the original Pokémon appearance.
Which Pokémon have the most character skin options?
Greninja, Cinderace, and Pokémon featured in the Sonic and Persona themes have multiple skin variants; check the mod's character theme guide to see all available options for specific Pokémon.
Does this mod work with other Cobblemon cosmetic mods?
Compatibility depends on how other mods handle textures and rendering; check the mod's documentation or community forums for known conflicts with specific cosmetic or texture mods.
