Configure Fair Play and Disable Unfair Features

Understanding Default Safety Settings

The mod ships with potentially unfair tools disabled by default: ore scanning, entity radar, and wall-piercing vision are all turned off. This ensures fair play in multiplayer servers and survival worlds where you want balanced gameplay.

Checking Your Configuration

Open config/vectorhud.json to review which features are active. Each panel and scanning tool has a toggle switch. If you're playing solo or on a server that permits these tools, you can enable them here. Always check your server rules before activating any scanning or vision features.

Using the Command System

Use /vectorhud <feature> to toggle specific HUD panels or features in your world without restarting. This lets you quickly test different configurations during gameplay. For example, you can disable the combat alerts panel if you find it distracting, or toggle the terrain map on and off as needed.

Respecting Multiplayer Rules

If playing on a server, keep unfair tools disabled and inform admins about your mod's capabilities. Stick to basic flight instruments—altitude, heading, and speed—which enhance gameplay without providing unfair advantages.
