Optimize Principal Shaders for Better Performance

Identify Performance Bottlenecks

Open the shader menu and look for quality presets (often "Low," "Medium," "High"). Start with a lower preset if you're experiencing lag, then gradually increase settings to find your performance sweet spot.

Reduce Volumetric Cloud Quality

Cloud rendering is performance-intensive. Lower "Cloud Quality," "Cloud Resolution," or "Volumetric Quality" settings. This is usually the fastest way to improve FPS without removing clouds entirely.

Decrease Shadow Distance and Quality

Reduce "Shadow Distance" to render shadows only nearby, and lower "Shadow Quality" for faster shadow calculations. Soft shadows cost more than hard shadows, so increase shadow hardness if needed.

Disable or Reduce Optional Effects

Turn off "God Rays," "Bloom," or "Ambient Occlusion" if performance is still poor. These are visually nice but optional. You can also reduce their intensity instead of disabling completely.

Lower Render Distance Settings

Reduce the distance at which volumetric effects render. Clouds and lighting effects don't need to appear at extreme distances.

Monitor and Adjust

Test your world after each change. Principal should enhance visuals without causing noticeable frame drops during normal gameplay.
