Primal Horizon Shifters Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get a starter Pokémon in Primal Horizon Shifters?
You can obtain one of the three starter lines (Citrillume, Infernito, or Potdary) by finding them in the wild across different biomes, or by using commands if your server/world has them enabled. Once you have your starter, you can begin training it and evolving it through leveling up.
Which starter should I pick?
Citrillume (Grass) evolves into the rideable flying mount Citrisaurid, Infernito (Fire) gains Ice typing and becomes Slacho for land riding, and Potdary (Water) gains Rock typing and becomes Mortaraid for water and land travel. Choose based on whether you want early flying, land, or water/land mobility.
How do I ride a Pokémon?
Only specific Pokémon can be ridden: Citrisaurid, Slacho, Mortaraid, Ostrike, and Fimbulven. Once you have one of these, you'll need to interact with it (usually by sneaking and right-clicking) to mount it, then use standard movement controls to travel.
Can I ride Pokémon in water?
Mortaraid is the primary water mount and can travel across both land and open water. Fimbulven can fly over water but doesn't swim through it.
Where do I find fossil Pokémon?
Fossils can be dug up from world structures scattered across your world. Once you collect a fossil, you'll need to restore it using a restoration method (typically at a specific block or station) to spawn the fossil Pokémon.
What are regional variants and where do I find them?
Regional variants are alternate forms of Pokémon adapted to specific biomes, like Sanrosan Shuckle, Sanrosan Tropius, and Sanrosan Heracross. They spawn naturally in their respective biomes just like regular Pokémon.
Do custom Pokémon spawn everywhere or only in certain biomes?
Custom Pokémon have specific biome spawns—you'll find different creatures in forests, caves, oceans, deserts, mountains, and deep underground zones. Check your biome type to know what to expect.
Can I use these Fakemon with other Cobblemon features?
Yes, custom Pokémon from this pack integrate fully with Cobblemon mechanics like battling, breeding, and evolution. They follow the same rules as vanilla Cobblemon creatures.
Why aren't the custom models showing up?
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and placed above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list. Resource packs need to be loaded in the correct order for custom models to display properly.
Will this mod affect my performance?
With over 90 custom models and animations, performance impact depends on your hardware and render distance. If you experience lag, try reducing render distance or disabling animated textures in your video settings.
