No. The mod edits gamerules through its config screen, so you don't need cheats or operator permissions on the world. This is the main reason to use it over the vanilla /gamerule command.
Does this mod work on a server or only in singleplayer?
The config screen changes the gamerules of the world you're currently in, so it works wherever the mod is installed on the world's side. On a multiplayer server, the mod generally needs to be present server-side for the changes to apply.
How do I pause the day-night cycle with this mod?
Open the config and turn off the gamerule that advances time of day (the doDaylightCycle rule). Once disabled, the sun and moon stop moving and the world stays at its current time.
Can I stop mobs from spawning in my existing world?
Yes. In the config screen, disable the mob spawning gamerule (doMobSpawning) to stop natural mob spawns. Note this won't remove mobs that already exist, only prevent new ones from spawning.
I changed a gamerule but nothing happened in-game. What went wrong?
Make sure you're editing the config for the world you're actually playing in, and that you've saved or applied the change. Some gamerules only take effect on the next relevant game tick or event, so give it a moment.
Will changing gamerules with this mod break my world or existing builds?
No, gamerules only change how the world behaves going forward; they don't alter existing blocks or terrain. You can safely toggle them back at any time.
Does this mod conflict with other mods or affect performance?
It's a lightweight config-based mod and generally doesn't conflict with others or impact performance. If you use another mod that also manages gamerules, avoid changing the same rule in both to prevent confusion.
Can I keep different gamerule settings for different worlds?
Yes. Gamerules are stored per-world, so each world keeps its own settings. Changing rules in one world won't affect your other worlds.
How do I undo a gamerule change I made?
Just reopen the config screen and toggle the rule back to its original state. There's no permanent change, so you can freely switch any gamerule on or off as many times as you like.
